Think differently

Nottingham Contemporary will be a home for thinking, experiencing and imagining things differently. Our education programmes are designed for audiences throughout Nottingham, and further afield. Our approach will reflect a commitment to learning through different disciplines, providing innovative and accessible learning experiences for a whole range of audiences, whether they are new to, or familiar with, contemporary art. We will be demonstrating that contemporary art is relevant to contemporary life.

Histories of the Present

To support Histories of the Present, the series of exhibitions and events that will take place in Nottingham’s cultural landmarks before our building opens, we will be running a series of educational pilot programmes. These will include talks, workshops, extended projects, seminars, events and “happenings”. They will inform our methods and suggest research areas, as well as helping to develop both our educational programme and our provision for our audiences when our building is open.

This programme will cater for families, communities, schools and teachers, young people and adult learners. It will also include accredited courses delivered in partnership with universities, colleges and other educational organisations.

If you are interested in taking part, or you would like further information, please contact the Education Team at Nottingham Contemporary on 0115 924 2421, or email:info@nottinghamcontemporary.org

Please keep coming back to us for more information and updates.

Nottingham Contemporary Education is funded by Nottingham City Council, the Arts Council England, the Greater Nottingham Partnership, emda and individual donors.
